Activist urges immediate hygiene supplies to blockaded Artsakh
Arshak Abrahamyan, a member of the Artsakh Security and Development Front, calls for urgent supplies of hygiene products to blockaded Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), warning of a risk of pandemic there.
In a social media post on Tuesday, he asked all competent agencies to use every tool available to allow the entry of at least one helicopter carrying hygiene items into Artsakh.
“Azerbaijan has not only subjected Artsakh to starvation, but has also put 120,000 people at risk of a pandemic,” the activist said, warning that head lice and skin diseases could spread quickly especially after the reopening of schools amid the lack of hygiene products.
“All international humanitarian and human rights organizations should focus on Artsakh and take practical steps to save the Artsakh Armenians, who have fallen victim to Azerbaijan's genocidal policy, from the imminent threats, as well as to stop Baku,” he stressed.
