World Trade Center to be built in central Yerevan
The Armenian government endorsed at a meeting on Thursday a project to demolish the HayPost headquarters on Saryan Street in central Yerevan and construct a World Trade Center (WTC) in its place.
The estimated total cost of the project is $212 million. The new building will cover an area of 123,000 square meters and its construction will be carried out by the company Renshin, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan said.
19.82% of the WTC will be owned by the Armenian government, 30.18% by Armenia’s national postal operator HayPost and some 50% by investors.
