Public TV to stage first Yerevan election debate
Candidates running in the upcoming Yerevan municipal elections will hold their first televised live debate on Tuesday, September 12, the Central Electoral Commission said.
The debate involving candidates placed between second and sixth on their electon lists will be livestreamed on the Public TV Company. The kick-off time is 10pm.
The Public TV will stage a second debate between the political forces’ mayoral candidates on September 14.
Yerevan residents will elect a new municipal council that will in turn appoint a new mayor of the Armenian capital on September 17. Thirteen parties and one bloc are vying for the City Council seats.
