More Artsakh patients transferred to Armenia
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has facilitated the evacuation of 9 more severely ill patients from blockaded Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, the Artsakh Ministry of Health reported.
The patients were transported to specialized medical facilities in Armenia along with their attendants on Thursday, the ministry said in a statement.
Another patient who has completed treatment in Armenia is expected to return home later today.
21 children are undergoing treatment in the Arevik Medical Center. 6 of them remain in neonatal and intensive care.
88 adult patients, including 3 critically ill, are hospitalized in the Republican Medical Center.
The people of Artsakh have been living under Azerbaijan's unlawful blockade for nine months now.
