Moscow concerned over continued tensions between Yerevan, Baku
Russia is concerned about the continued tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
"We are concerned that the tensions are not easing and even tend to grow in some areas," RIA Novosti quoted Peskov as telling reporters.
He emphasized that Russia remains a reliable guarantor of security in the region. Peskov added that contacts with Baku and Yerevan were continuing.
"Of course, we call on both sides to exercise restraint and to act in line with the trilateral documents that were signed two years ago, taking into account, of course, the new realities that have emerged since then," he said.
