Artsakh denies Azeri reports of soldiers' withdrawal
The Artsakh InfoCenter has dismissed Azerbaijan’s reports about the withdrawal of Armenia’s troops from Nagorno-Karabakh.
“In recent days, some Azerbaijani media outlets have been misrepresenting the transfer of a group of citizens to Armenia in convoys escorted by Russian peacekeepers as evacuation of servicemen,” it said in a statement on Friday.
“It’s worth noting that there are no soldiers holding Armenian citizenship in the Republic of Artsak,” the InfoCenter stressed, adding the evacuated people are students and Russian citizens.
The people of Artsakh have been living under Azerbaijan's unlawful blockade for nine months now.
