Yerevan Municipality officials 'recruit' people for Avinyan's campaign march, oppositionist says
Narek Tadevosyan, a member of the Luys Foundation, claims the Yerevan Municipality leadership “has been recruiting” people for the campaign rally and march of Yerevan mayoral candidate Tigran Avinyan scheduled for Friday evening.
In a social media post, he says the Municipality officials have been told to wear “casual clothes” to avoid attracting too much attention at the rally.
“At the same time, the employees have been told that they can leave work an hour earlier today to be at the specified location on time. Also, they have been warned that their absence will not go unnoticed in the future,” wrote Tadevosyan, who formerly worked at the Yerevan municipal council.
He urged his former colleagues not to attend the rally organized by the “capitulant authorities”.
