Kocharyan casts his vote in Yerevan elections
Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan has cast his ballot in the Yerevan municipal elections.
Kocharyan said he voted for “changes” as he spoke to reporters after leaving the polling station.
“I hope the opposition forces will achieve good results,” he said.
Voters are heading to the polls to elect a municipal council and decide on Yerevan’s mayor for the next five years.
Thirteen parties and one bloc are vying for 65 seats in the City Council.
The polls are scheduled to close at 8pm.
