Azerbaijan shells Artsakh ambulance transporting victims' bodies
The Azerbaijani military attacked an ambulance transferring the bodies of eight victims from Artsakh’s Martakert region to the capital Stepanakert early on Wednesday morning, Artsakh’s Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan said.
“At around 5 a.m., the ambulance of the Stepanakert's morgue, which was sent to the Martakert region in order to transport 8 bodies to the capital, was fired at by the Azerbaijani armed forces. The driver of the ambulance got injured and is currently not able to evacuate the bodies to Stepanakert,” he said in a social media post.
The Artsakh authorities says at least 27 people have been killed, including 7 civilians, and over 200 wounded since Azerbaijan began its large-scale offensive early on Tuesday afternoon.
