Artsakh president deplores 'inadequate' int'l response to Azeri aggression
President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Samvel Shahramanyan on Wednesday convened an extended meeting of the Security Council.
The situation resulting from the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh, the possible developments and the steps taken by Artsakh in this regard were discussed, the presidential office reported.
"The president noted that the reaction of international actors to the current situation in Artsakh and its overcoming is inadequate and no practical steps are being taken, therefore Artsakh will have to take relevant steps with the ultimate goal of ensuring the physical safety of the population as a priority," it said in a statement.
The Artsakh authorities says at least 27 people have been killed, including 7 civilians, and 200 wounded since Azerbaijan began its large-scale offensive early on Tuesday afternoon.
