Artsakh denies reports Azeri troops entered Stepanakert
Artsakh’s Info Center has dismissed as untrue reports that the Azerbaijani troops have allegedly entered Stepanakert.
“After the ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan on September 21, Russian peacekeepers were deployed in the suburbs of Stepanakert, including the Krkzhan neighborhood, to avoid further escalation of the situation,” it said in a statement on Saturday.
The Info Center urged the people to ignore panic-inducing reports and follow only official statements.
Artsakh’s former State Minister Artak Beglaryan earlier shared footage showing an armored vehicle of Russian peacekeepers passing by in Krkzhan. He said Azerbaijani forces had closely approached the suburb of Stepanakert and even entered the first houses
