Over 1,000 refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh arrive in Armenia
The Armenian government said late on Sunday that a total of 1,050 people had crossed into the country from Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) following Azerbaijan's large-scale military offensive.
"As of 10 p.m., 1050 people entered Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh," the government said in a statement.
The two-day offensive last week forced Artsakh’s leadership to agree to disband its armed forces and discuss its “reintegration” into Azerbaijan as part of a Russian-brokered ceasefire announced on Wednesday.
