Armenian authorities unable to resist Azerbaijan's new demands, MP says
Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan claims the current Armenian leadership is unable to resist the new demands set by Azerbaijan even after its seizure of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
“Azerbaijan has solved the task of gaining full control over Artsakh by war and has moved to ethnic cleansing, but the Armenian authorities’ discussions with international structures and key players mainly focus on humanitarian issues,” Abrahamyan, secretary of the Pativ Unem faction, wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
“Clearly, the current leadership’s ultimate goal was the surrender of Artsakh at any cost, but the problem is that even now they are unable to resist Azerbaijan’s new pressures and demands.
“Amid the government’s indifference towards the fate of people and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, naturally, others will not deal with our security or statehood instead of us," the deputy said.
