Spain to send humanitarian aid to Nagorno-Karabakh
The Spanish government will deliver humanitarian aid to Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) amid a mass exodus of Armenians following last week’s Azerbaijani offensive, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares Bueno said on Wednesday.
"Alarmed by the growing number of Armenians fleeing their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh and the explosion that killed hundreds of people,” he said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday.
“The rights and security of the population, as well as the supplies of humanitarian aid must be guaranteed. Spain will provide assistance through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID)," the minister added.
