Artsakh servicemen can join Armenia's military, official says
The situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is relatively stable, Armenia’s Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan said on Friday.
“At the moment, the border situation is relatively stable and no tendency of escalation is observed,” he told reporters.
Separately, Sargsyan says servicemen of the Artsakh Defense Army can continue service in Armenia’s armed forces.
"It would be desirable for the Defense Army servicemen to join the Armenian Defense Ministry, because they are our compatriots and with their experience and military knowledge they can bring great benefit to the Armenian military," the deputy minister noted.
“All military men who wish to join Armenia's armed forces will have this opportunity,” he added.
