Over 360 Artsakh patients continue treatment in Armenia, minister says
A total of 361 people evacuated from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia continue their treatment in the country’s medical centers, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said on Saturday.
221 of them are victims of Monday’s explosion at a fuel depot near Stepanakert and 114 are those wounded in last week’s Azerbaijan's military offensive. The remaining 26 are persons with various health conditions, the minister told reporters.
"In total, 14 deaths have been recorded to date. The condition of many patients is assessed as grave or critical," Avanesyan said.
According to the health minister, 10 children who were wounded during the hostilities, as well as those who suffered injuries in the fuel depot blast, are in intensive care units. Two of them remain in critical condition.
A total of 100,417 forcibly displaced people arrived in Armenia from Artsakh as of Saturday noon.
