Artak Beglaryan: Almost no Armenians left in Artsakh
Almost no Armenians have been left in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Artak Beglaryan, a former Artsakh ombudsman and state minister, said in a social media post on Saturday.
“The last groups of Artsakh residents are now heading to Armenia,” he wrote on Telegram, citing unofficial reports. “There are at most a few hundred people left in Artsakh, most of whom are officials, employees of emergency services, volunteers and people with special needs. They are also preparing to leave."
According to official figures, a total of 100,417 forcibly displaced people crossed into Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh in less than a week following Azerbaijan’s military offensive which saw Baku seize full control of Artsakh.
