Iran ready to send observers to Armenia-Azerbaijan border, army chief says
Iran is ready to send observers to the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, says Chief of the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Mohammad Hossein Bagheri.
He made the remarks at a meeting with Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Armeian Security Council, Gazeta.ru reported, citing Tasnim News Agency.
The Iranian general underscored that persisting tensions in the South Caucasus did not benefit all countries of the region.
"In this regard, Iran is ready to send its observers to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border," Bagheri noted.
