ICRC teams comb Stepanakert streets for stranded people
Teams of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have scoured the empty streets of Stepanakert, the capital of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), with megaphones seeking stranded residents.
“Tens of thousands have fled their homes. But the most vulnerable – including the elderly, sick, and disabled – are unable to easily leave,” the ICRC said in a social media post late on Wenesday.
“Our teams have been in the streets with megaphones, to find those who need help or wish to be evacuated,” it added, posting a video.
