Armenian, Azeri leaders agreed to meet in Brussels later this month, EU's Michel says
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have agreed to hold EU-mediated talks in Brussels by the end of October, European Council President Charles Michel said.
His remarks came after a four-way meeting with Pashinyan, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron in the Spanish city of Granada on Thursday.
The European leaders “underlined their unwavering support to the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the borders of Armenia”, they said in a joint statement.
