Over 300 displaced persons from Artsakh remain hospitalized in Armenia
A total of 302 people forcibly displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) continue treatment in Armenia’s medical centers, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's spokesperson, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, said on Saturday.
113 of them remain in grave condition, while 11 others are in critical condition, she said.
"Five children are in intensive care,” Baghdasaryan told a press briefing.
She also noted that 13,646 people had already applied to primary health care facilities for registration.
The spokeswoman said that 261 medical workers from Artsakh had already registered with the National Health Institute. "After completing the relevant courses and collecting credits, they will be able to start working at Armenia’s medical facilities," Baghdasaryan noted, adding that 125 of them are physicians and 136 are nurses.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are currently 273 vacancies for doctors and 59 vacancies for nurses in medical facilities.
