Rockets fired at Jerusalem, other areas of Israel
Rocket alerts sound in various locations throughout Israel, including in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the central Shfela region and towns around Gaza, The Times of Israel reports.
Jerusalem residents report hearing at least one interception over the city.
There are also reports of impacts in an open area in Tel Aviv and on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service says its medics are scanning the area following reports of rocket impacts in the center, but it is unaware of any injuries at this stage.
Hamas militants launched an unprecedented attack on Israel at daybreak Saturday, firing thousands of rockets as hundreds of Hamas fighters infiltrated the heavily fortified border in several locations by air, land and sea.
Israeli officials confirmed early on Monday that more than 700 Israeli civilians and members of the military had been killed. Another 2,150 were wounded.
