UN mission again visits Artsakh
The UN mission again arrived in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) on Monday, Azerbaijani media reports.
The mission aims to assess the situation on the ground and identify the humanitarian needs of the people remaining there, the reports said.
A United Nations mission led by the UN’s Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva first visited Artsakh on 1 October, following a mass exodus of Armenians triggered by Azerbaijan's September 19-20 offensive which saw Baku seize full control of Artsakh.
The press release following the visit caused discontent in Armenia. The Armenian Foreign Ministry called the UN statement “very biased", stressing it "does not reflect the situation on the ground”.
