Video released by Azeri envoy shows 'elderly people left behind' in Artsakh
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Ali Alizadeh has posted a video on X (formerly known as Twitter), which shows several elderly men dining at small tables.
The Azerbaijani diplomat claims they are Armenian elderly people left behind in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) who are now living in a shelter built by Azerbaijan.
“Karabakh’s Armenian population are citizens of Azerbaijan, their rights and security are guaranteed in accordance with the Azerbaijani Constitution," Alizadeh said.
A total of 100,632 people have fled Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia seeking safety in the wake of Azerbaijan’s large-scale military offensive on 19-20 September which saw Baku seize full control of Artsakh.
