Pashinyan: Over 3,000 displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh have left Armenia
More than 3,000 people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) have left Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan announced on Thursday.
“As of now, over 3,000 forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh have left the Republic of Armenia,” he told a cabinet meeting, adding many of them could be visiting their relatives abroad.
“I hope we are sending a clear message to them. I call on our brothers and sisters forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh to consider staying in Armenia as a priority. We are doing everything we can to support them. In case of a lack of desire or opportunity to return to Nagorno-Karabakh, our policy is to do everything for them to stay in the Republic of Armenia,” Pashinyan added.
