10 detained for hooliganism during Friday's protests in Yerevan
10 people were detained on suspicion of hooliganism and violence during protests outside Nagorno-Karabakh’s permanent representation in Yerevan on Friday, the Investigative Committee reported.
More than a hundred people forcibly displaced from Artsakh gathered outside the building on Friday morning to demand answers on Azerbaijan’s September 19-20 military offensive and explanations for President Samvel Shahramanyan’s September 28 decree to “dissolve” the Artsakh Republic from January 1.
Cashes erupted during the demonstration, with some protesters assaulting a man and vandalizing a car that drove out of the Artsakh representation’s compound later in the afternoon.
A probe is underway into the incident.
