EU mission works to ensure vital stability in South Caucasus, Canada's FM says
The EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA) works to ensure vital stability and security in South Caucasus, Canada's Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said following her visit to the mission's operating base in the Armenian spa town of Jermuk on Friday.
"Here in Armenia, we're visiting the EU Mission in Armenia. Bolstered through Canada's third-party contribution, the EUMA works to monitor the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan ensuring vital stability and security in South Caucasus," she said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Separately, the minister posted a photo of her meeting with Armenia's civil society leaders, writing: "Ensuring lasting peace and security in region, strengthening democracies, and amplifying Armenian voices— all key principles discussed with civil society leaders here in Armenia. Thank you all for your insight, perspective and advocacy."
