U.S. says will continue to push for Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal
A peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is in the interests of the broader world, U.S. Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Thursday.
“We continue to think that it is in the interests of the two parties, it is in the interests of the region, and it is in the interests of the broader world that those two parties reach a peace agreement, and we’ll continue to push it,” he told a press briefing.
The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan were due to meet in Brussels in late October, but the talks were cancelled because of the Azerbaijani side.
