Caucasian leopard spotted in Zangezur Biosphere Complex
A Caucasian leopard has been spotted in Armenia's Zangezur Biosphere Complex, the World Wide Fund Armenia (WWF Armenia) reported on Thursday.
"As many of you know, Leopards are scent marking certain spots in their habitats, signaling about their presence to potential rivals or mates," the fund said in a statement.
"Interestingly, there are sites in some Protected Areas of Armenia where such scent spots are often visited and marked by more than one Leopard, thus “silent communication” is taking place at these sites," it added.
