Activist Tatevik Virabyan again passed out in prison, lawyer says
Detained activist Tatevik Virabyan has again blacked out in the Abovyan Penitentiary, her lawyer, Arsen Babayan, warned on Tuesday.
“She is under medical supervision. Her condition is stable at the moment,” the lawyer wrote on Facebook.
The young woman from Artsakh first passed out in her prison cell on October 15.
Virabyan, a mother of two minor children whose brother was killed in the 44-day war, was arrested during a rally in support of Artsakh held in central Yerevan on September 19. She is accused of defying police orders, participating in mass unrests and making pubic calls for violence on social media.
Judge Rubik Mkhitaryan of the Criminal Court of Appeals denied a defense motion to release her on October 19.
