Russia reaffirms readiness to host meeting of Armenian, Azeri FMs
Russia welcomes any engagements that contribute to normalization between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Thursday, referring to the October 27 meeting between the prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Georgia.
"We welcome everything that benefits the parties and the region as a whole. For our part, we believe that the roadmap for the normalization of bilateral relations remains a set of trilateral agreements that were adopted between 2020 and 2022. They include the signing of a peace treaty between the two countries, the unblocking of transport and economic ties in the South Caucasus, border delimitation and much more,” she told a press briefing.
“I would like to reaffirm that in the near future we are ready to organize a trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in Moscow," Zakharova said.
