German FM to visit reception center for Nagorno-Karabakh refugees
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will arrive in Armenia on Friday.
She is expected to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during her visit.
Baerbock will also visit the EU monitoring mission and a reception center for refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, the German Embassy in Armenia reported.
"Germany is committed to sustainable peace, political and economic diversification in the region and close and good relations with Europe. Building trust and reconciliation in the region are crucial. The key goal is to reach a negotiated and comprehensive peace settlement so that Armenians and Azerbaijanis can live in peace and security within their national borders. We support the soonest possible resumption of trilateral talks hosted by European Council President Charles Michel,” the embassy said in a statement.
