Armenian government plans 14% increase in health spending in 2024
Health spending in Armenia is expected to increase by 14% to over 168 billion drams in 2024, Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan said on Monday, presenting the draft state budget for 2024.
Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan highlighted that the government spending on healthcare would double next year compared to 2018.
The minister explained that the budget for 2024 consists of two parts, including state funds for public health and capital expenditures.
"A total of 18 billion drams have already been allocated, which will be used to launch the health insurance system in mid-year," Avanesyan added.
