Artsakh president sends letter to Armenia's chief prosecutor
Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan has asked Armenia’s Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan to probe reports of alleged abuses by Artsakh officials in a letter addressed to her on Wednesday.
"Taking into account that recently reports about alleged crimes committed by officials of the Artsakh Republic have been widely circulating online, particularly on social media, and taking into account the fact that the Artsakh authorities are interested in revealing possible abuses committed by officials and bringing the perpetrators to justice, President Samvel Shahramanyan has sent a letter to Armenian Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan with a request to treat such publications as crime reports and investigate them,” the Artsakh Info Center said.
“We urge those citizens who have information or facts related to the above said to support the process and provide them to Armenia’s law enforcement agencies,” it added.
