Unknown man tried to break into Abovyan mayor's mansion – Hraparak
An unknown assailant on Thursday night attempted to break into the mansion of Abovyan Mayor Eduard Babayan, the former chief bodyguard of the Prosperous Armenia Party leader, Gagik Tsarukyan, Hraparak.am reported on Friday.
His lawyer Emin Khachatryan said Babayan captured the attacker in the yard of his mansion as the latter tried to burst into his home. The man was presumably under the influence of drugs, the lawyer added.
The attack attempt was caught on camera.
The suspect's motives remain unknown.
The Investigative Committee told Panorama.am that the details of the incident would be released later.
