Armenian athletes win 10 medals at World Sambo Championships
The Armenian teams have earned 10 medals, including 5 silver and 5 bronze, at the World Sambo Championships held in Yerevan from November 10 to 12.
Aram Aghajanyan (71 kg), Boris Shatveryan (79 kg), David Grigoryan (98 kg), Avetik Poghosyan (88 kg) and Vahram Grigoryan (64 kg) won silver medals, the Sambo Federation of Armenia reported.
Vahagn Chalyan (88 kg), Varsik Grigoryan (54 kg), Vachik Vardanyan (71 kg), Sargis Vardanyan (79 kg) and Arman Avanesyan (98 kg) captured bronze medals.
The Armenian sambo teams were led by Vovik Khojayan.
