European Chess Championship: Armenian teams celebrate victories in round 4
In the fourth round of the European Team Chess Championship, the Armenian men's national team beat the Israeli team with a score of 3:1.
GM Haik Martirosyan and GM Hrant Melkumyan won today. The games of GM Shant Sargsyan and GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan ended in a draw, the Armenian Chess Federation reported.
After this victory, the Armenian team shares the first place with the German and Polish teams.
The Armenian women's national team beat the Swiss team with a score of 3.5:0.5 and now shares the 4th-6th places.
WIM Mariam Mkrtchyan, GM Elina Danielyan and WIM Susanna Gaboyan won today. IM Lilit Mkrtchian played a draw with the twelfth Women's World Chess Champion GM Alexandra Kosteniuk.
In the fifth round, the Armenian men's team will play against the German team, while the women's team will face the French team.
