OSCE PA meeting kicks off in Yerevan
The 21st Autumn Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has commenced in Yerevan, Armenia.
The meeting is being held at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in the Armenian capital on 18-20 November.
Featuring a Parliamentary Conference held under the theme “OSCE in Times of Crisis: Role of the PA in Responding to Internal and External Challenges” and a Mediterranean Forum focusing on the situation in the Middle East, the Autumn Meeting will include high-level speeches by host dignitaries and OSCE officials. Parliamentarians will debate issues including the OSCE’s role in an era of conflict, corruption as a fundamental threat to peace and security, and protection of minorities.
The Armenian parliament reported that the event was expected to bring together as many as 300 delegates from around 50 countries.
