Metakse Hakobyan: 'I know Artsakh is waiting for me'
Metakse Hakobyan, an MP from the Justice faction of the Artsakh National Assembly, on Monday posted a video of her last speech in the parliament before Azerbaijan’s attack and violent seizure of Artsakh in mid-September which triggered an exodus of its almost entire ethnic Armenian population.
The lightning military offensive followed Azerbaijan’s nine-month blockade of Artsakh.
"Those were the first days of the Artsakh blockade by the enemy.... If they had heeded our calls, I'm sure we wouldn't have ended up as refugees now,” Hakobyan wrote on Facebook.
“Obviously, Aliyev has been and will remain our enemy, but no one expected Nikol [Pashinyan] to do the same to us... I adore Armenia, but I can't live without Artsakh... I know Artsakh is waiting for me...”
