Prosecutor's Office refuses to comment on reports of Mihran Poghosyan's detention
The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office neither confirms nor denies the reports about the detention of Major-General Mihran Poghosyan, who ran an Armenian state agency enforcing judicial acts.
"We can’t provide any comments at the moment," the law-enforcement agency told Panorama.am on Monday.
The Telegram channel Mash reported earlier that Poghosyan had been detained in Moscow. The ex-official is reportedly expected to be extradited to Armenia in the near future.
Mihran Poghosyan is wanted by Yerevan on corruption charges.
He was Armenia’s chief compulsory enforcement officer from June 2008 to April 2016.
