Pashinyan reports record number of registered jobs in Armenia
Armenia saw a record number of over 730,000 officially registered jobs in November, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on Thursday
Speaking at a regular cabinet meeting, Pashinyan said the number of registered jobs had increased by 183,000 since May 2018.
“The economic dynamics suggest that more new jobs will be created,” he said, expressing the hope that Armenians who fled Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) after Azerbaijani attack in mid-September will further improve the dynamics after their full integration into Armenia's labor market.
He claimed that there was no outflow of Artsakh refugees from Armenia.
The premier stressed that at first an alarming number of displaced people left Armenia, but now the situation has stabilized. He suggested that many of them visited their relatives abroad and then returned to Armenia.
