Iran supports Armenia's territorial integrity, envoy says
Iran welcomes Armenia's peace agenda and supports the country's territorial integrity, Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani said on Tuesday.
“We support Armenia’s territorial integrity, as well as lasting and sustainable peace in the region,” the Iranian envoy said at the forum New Regional Realities and the Crossroads of Peace held in Yerevan
Sobhani highlighted the historic relations between Armenia and Iran and the good-neighborly relations between the two governments.
He underlined that Armenia and Iran have the shortest shared border which "has always been a border of friendship and peace".
Sobhani said that the trade turnover between the two countries had reached $1 billion.
