Minister: Disconnection of Russian TV channels in Armenia not discussed yet
Armenia is not considering a ban on the retransmission of Russian TV channels in the country for now, Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan said on Thursday.
"The issue of their disconnection is not being discussed for the time being. Everything depends on the outcome of consultations to be held in Yerevan," Khachatryan said.
"The date and time of the Armenian-Russian consultations have not been specified yet. We have to meet and discuss everything thoroughly," the minister added.
Earlier in November, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused Russian state TV channels broadcasting in Armenia of violating local rules, saying that consultations with Moscow on the issue were needed
