EU has no plans to hold military exercises with Armenia
The European Union does not plan to conduct military exercises with Armenia, Peter Stano, Lead Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Commission, said in an interview with Izvestia on Monday.
“The EU is not considering the possibility of joint military drills with Armenia. The EU is not a military alliance, but a political and economic community of values,” Stano said.
He added that the European Union does not plan to train Armenian military personnel on the territory of the EU member states.
“The European Union is exploring the possibility of providing assistance to the Armenian army through the Europe Peace Foundation in a “non-lethal format,” but there are no specific decisions yet,” Stano noted.
