Prosecutors seek arrest of bankruptcy judge Tigran Poladyan
Armenia’s law-enforcement authorities seek the arrest of Bankruptcy Court judge Tigran Poladyan, Pastifo reports, citing its sources.
The report suggests that the Prosecutor General’s Office has petitioned the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) to allow it to prosecute and arrest Poladyan. The SJC is expected to hear the motion on Friday.
The Prosecutor’s Office neither confirmed nor denied the report when contacted by Pastinfo.
“We cannot provide any information in order not to damage the reputation of the judicial system,” it said.
Poladyan’s wife, Ani Harutyunyan, who is a judge of the Administrative Court, is also facing prosecution.
