Hospital says singer Ara Martirosyan had 'underlying health conditions'
Yerevan’s Nairi Medical Center said famous singer Ara Martirosyan, who passed away on Friday, had "underlying health conditions", but did not disclose them.
The singer was taken to the hospital with acute cardiovascular and respiratory failure and was in critical condition.
“For several hours, doctors struggled to save the artist's life, but, unfortunately, a cardiac arrest was recorded,” the hospital spokeswoman, Anna Ghazaryan, said in a statement on Saturday.
"We would also like to inform that Ara Martirosyan had underlying health conditions, which are not subject to disclosure. The entire staff of Nairi Medical Center expresses condolences to the artist’s family, friends and fans," she added.
