Azerbaijan 'determined' to make peace with Armenia, PM says
Azerbaijan is "determined" to make peace with Armenia, Azeri Prime Minister Ali Asadov said at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Moscow on Monday.
“I would like to express Azerbaijan’s firm determination to continue its efforts to strengthen peace and security in the region. Taking into account the recent positive signals, we consider it extremely important to continue constructive dialogue [with Armenia] in this direction,” Azerbaijani media quoted him as saying.
The current “historic opportunity” will make it possible to achieve a long-awaited peace in the region, Asadov added.
