Yerevan court finds deceased film producer guilty of 'humiliating national dignity'
A court in Yerevan has found deceased film producer Armen Grigoryan guilty of inciting violence and “publicly humiliating national dignity”.
The court issued the verdict on Monday, Grigoryan’s lawyer, Ruben Melikyan, said, unveiling plans to challenge it in higher court.
“All our efforts are currently focused on the acquittal of Armen Grigoryan,” he had told Panorama.am earlier.
Grigoryan, a government critic, died during his trial in Yerevan in July 2022.
The producer had been in pre-trial detention since May despite his serious health issues.
