Opposition MP reacts to Pashinyan's latest statements on Artsakh
Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan reacted to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statements on Artsakh’s surrender to Azerbaijan in an interview to the Public TV Company on Tuesday.
In a social media post on Wednesday, he accused Pashinyan of “lying” in an attempt to dodge responsibility for Azerbaijan’s takeover of Artsakh.
“Why does he keep talking about Artsakh’s surrender [to Azerbaijan], attempting to justify his steps?” wrote Abrahamyan, secretary of the opposition Pativ Unem faction.
“All his statements and efforts to shift the blame onto others will only have a short-term effect. Pashinyan realizes full well that he cannot get away with such things and regardless of his will, the efforts of the state machine and the propaganda "overdose", one thing is certain: the day of reckoning will come,” the deputy stated.
“It’s simply impossible to rewrite history and he and his cronies will go down in history as surrenderers and traitors who kneeled before the enemy. That’s why Pashinyan continues to tell lies and justify himself, trying to escape the verdict of history through futile efforts," the opposition MP added.
