MP: Azerbaijan 'concerned' by Serzh Sargsyan's Artsakh remarks
An Azerbaijani state-run TV channel has made an extensive report trying to "analyze" the statements of Armenia’s third President Serzh Sargsyan on the Artsakh issue, opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan says.
“Azerbaijan is concerned by his position on the Artsakh issue which is seen as a possibility of revenge,” Abrahamyan, secretary of the opposition Pativ Unem faction, wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
"The Azerbaijani propaganda machine attempted to "interpret" Serzh Sargsyan’s congratulatory message to Poland's new Prime Minister Donald Tusk, waring of its hidden threats.
“Despite Azerbaijan’s repeated claims on various international platforms that the Artsakh issue has been resolved, it’s obvious that Azerbaijan has concerns even about the statements it makes.
“Yes, today Azerbaijan has ideological partners who are in power in Armenia, but this is only a temporary window for Baku, whuch is trying to make the most of it," Abrahamyan stated.
